Ask Congress to Vote YES on Critical Childhood Cancer Policies

We're reporting in with great news from Capitol Hill: We're so close to securing passage of the most influential childhood cancer legislation in a decade!

Please join us in asking Congress to vote YES on this bipartisan package.

We're thrilled to share that the Accelerating Kids’ Access to Care Act and the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act are both included in a just-released 'minibus' funding package. Thank you to every one of you who have joined us in speaking up for these critical bipartisan bills. This moment would not be possible without your voices and support.

These two bills would represent significant, needed progress for our kids. They will cut red tape to allow pediatric cancer patients to get out-of-state care quickly, extend vital programs that support research for more effective pediatric treatments, and incentivize pediatric drug development.

This package provides slight increases in funding for the National Institutes of Health ($48.7 billion) and its National Cancer Institute ($7.3 billion). Specific to childhood cancer, it includes $50 million in funding for the Childhood Cancer Data Initiative, $30 million for the Childhood Cancer STAR Act, and $12.6 million for the Gabriella Miller Kids First Research Act.

The House of Representatives is expected to vote on the package this week, and the Senate is expected to take it up next week.

Please join us in asking Congress to vote YES on this funding package to get it over the finish line before funding runs out at the end of January.
